Eligible Pennsylvania public school educators and educator preparation faculty will
be appointed by the Bureau of School Leadership and Teacher Quality to participate
in test development conferences/meetings.
Opportunities for participation include:
Content Advisory Committee member. Educators who are subject matter experts will be asked to review draft test materials which include test objectives and test items. Content Advisory Committee members may also assist the Bureau of School Leadership and Teacher Quality in other development activities.
Equity Assurance Panel member. Educators will review test materials for potential sources of bias according to established review criteria pertaining to test content, language, offensiveness, stereotypes, and inclusiveness. Members will make recommendations that will help prevent potential bias that would disadvantage a person because of her or his gender, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, handicapping condition, or cultural, economic, or geographic background.
